We believe privacy is a right, not a feature. This policy explains exactly how Sahib works — and why the answer to most questions about data collection is simply: we don't.
Sahib does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our servers. Everything — your location, prayer history, worship program, and preferences — stays on your device, period.
Sahib is developed and maintained by IRC Had Center. For any questions about this policy, reach us at: support@sahib.app.
Sahib is an offline-first app. There is no account, no login, and no registration — the app works straight out of the box. All your data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device:
We never receive, access, or store any of this information on our servers.
The app periodically connects to our server to download app content:
This is a one-way download. No personal data, device identifier, or user-generated content is ever sent to our server. The only network information involved is a standard HTTP request, which includes your IP address — handled by our hosting infrastructure in the same way as any website visit and not intentionally logged or stored by us.
All downloaded content is cached locally so the app continues to work fully offline after the initial sync.
To calculate prayer times and Qibla direction, the app needs to know your approximate location. You can provide this by:
Either way, your location data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. The Qibla calculation is performed entirely on-device.
If you grant notification permission, reminders are scheduled entirely using your operating system's local notification system. No push notification server receives any data about you. Granting or denying permission does not affect any other feature of the app. You can revoke it at any time in your device settings.
Sahib requires no account, email address, phone number, or password. We have no way to identify individual users. There is no profile, no user ID, and no session token associated with you.
We do not integrate any advertising SDKs, analytics platforms, crash-reporting services, or social login providers. The only external network connection the app makes is to our own content server to download sermon, adhkar, and resource data.
Because Sahib does not collect any personal data from anyone, it is safe for users of all ages, including children under 13. There are no forms, no accounts, and no data-collection mechanisms in the app.
Since all your data lives exclusively on your device, you are in complete control at all times:
We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page whenever the policy changes. For significant changes, we will notify you via an in-app notice on the next launch.
